Tructyre Fleet Tyre Management - company history
Tructyre Fleet Management Ltd was created by customer's demand of improved services in the management of their tyres on trucks.
Due to market polarisation and the need to reduce cost, outsource non-core activities of their business, fleet operators were looking for tyre companies to take more ownership.
Recognising the need, Glenn Sherwood, with over 30 years experience in the truck/tyre business, started this unique niche market business in 1996 with two second-hand vans and a small base in Winchester.
Truck tyre service specialists - company growth
Today, Tructyre is one of the largest regional provider of truck tyre service specialists in the UK, managing tyres for the top truck fleets in the UK, operating in excess of 40 specialist service vans from twelve specialist depots.
Its original location in Winchester is the main hub and head office, where the heart of the operation is based, managing breakdowns and service 24/7, distribution and fleet administration.
Our philosophy has always been for a truck operator "it's not what you're paying for a tyre, but how it's being managed in service to manage cost", particularly in today's competitive market with much pressure on operators in reducing their carbon footprint, tyre management becomes even more important, like retreading, pressure maintenance, energy fuel efficient tyres etc.
Tructyre today are market leaders in tyre management and continue to push the boundaries in offering our clients the best operating cost, supported by our suppliers and partners including companies such as Bandag, Bandvulc, Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear\Dunlop, Michelin and Vaculug.
